New book: "Charcoal & Grace" releasing Oct 15th !!!

Who Is Jesus?

Let’s be real.

You didn’t land on this page by accident.

Maybe life’s been hitting harder than usual. Maybe faith feels more like a fog than a fire. Or maybe, just maybe… something inside you is whispering, There’s more.

Let’s be honest—this might feel a little weird.

You’re on a page about someone named Jesus.
You might not know much about Him.
Or maybe you’ve heard His name used more as a curse word than anything else.

So… what’s the deal?

Let’s keep it simple.
Let’s keep it human.

Who was Jesus?

Jesus was a real person.
He lived about 2,000 years ago in the Middle East. He wasn’t rich. He didn’t run for office. He didn’t lead an army. He never even wrote a book.

But somehow… He changed the entire world.

Millions of people today still follow Him, still talk to Him, still believe He’s alive.

But why?

Here’s the story—without the religious fog:

The world’s a mess.
And if we’re honest, so are we.

We hurt people we love.
We chase things that don’t satisfy.
We carry regrets, pain, shame, confusion, loneliness…

And no matter how hard we try to fix it, something’s still off.

Jesus stepped into that.

He didn’t come to judge.

He came to heal.

He spent His life helping people who were ignored, overlooked, hated, addicted, ashamed, sick, lost.
He told them they were loved.
He told them they were worth something.

He said that God wasn’t distant or angry.
That God saw us—really saw us—and still wanted us.

That’s who Jesus is.

So why did He die?

He chose it.

People were threatened by Him.
Religious leaders didn’t like how much love He gave away.
So they had Him killed.

But here’s what Jesus said before He died:

“No one takes my life from me—I give it away.”

He believed His death would be the turning point of the whole story.

He said the brokenness we all carry—the guilt, the pain, the weight we can’t shake—He would take it on Himself.

He died for us.
Instead of us.

And then… He came back.
Not metaphorically. Literally.

Three days later, He was alive again.
People saw Him. Ate with Him. Talked with Him.

And that’s why His story didn’t end in a grave—it exploded across the world.

So what does that have to do with you?

Jesus said He didn’t come for “good people.”
He came for real people—people like you and me.

People with doubts.
People who feel stuck.
People who’ve been burned by religion.
People who’ve tried everything else and still feel empty.

He came to bring us back to God.
Not with guilt.
But with grace.

Not to make us “better.”
But to make us new.

What If You’ve Been Hurt by Church?

Let’s be real. People have done awful things in Jesus’ name. Churches have sometimes caused deep pain. If that’s part of your story—I’m so sorry. That was never His heart.

Jesus isn’t like the ones who misrepresented Him.

If you’ve got wounds from the past… Jesus still wants you. And so do I.

Jesus Still Wants You

You don’t have to understand everything.
I mean…Im gonna be real honest. If I just read all of that for the first time I would be saying “Jason…lets find a great straight jacket to put you in.” But we are all seeking more. “Whats my purpose?” “Why??” I’m here to tell you today that JESUS is my “why.”
You don’t have to get it right now…but as you go along a journey with Him and trust in His teaching…you will learn to.
You don’t have to pretend you’ve got it all together.
You don’t have to “clean yourself up” first.

You just need to be willing to say,
“Okay, Jesus… if this is real—I want in.

That’s it.

It’s what I did when I was 16 years old…and I have never been the same. I did it over the phone with a woman I never met – but she cared enough about sharing the love of Jesus to a stranger – just like I do with you that she a prayed a prayer with me…and I have been on a journey with Jesus ever since.

Want to pray like I did? You dont have to kneel…be fancy – weird…dress up. Just TALK to Jesus….like this:

A Simple Prayer (if you want help finding the words)

Jesus… I don’t know everything about You.
But I know I’ve tried doing life on my own… and I still feel lost.
I believe You died for my sins—
for the mistakes, the pain, and the hard stuff I carry.
I believe You rose again.
If what You said is true,
I want to trust You and follow You.
Take my past, my doubts, my heart—
I’m Yours now.
Help me live the life You made me for—
one step at a time with You.

Amen.

What Now?

If you just prayed that prayer…
Let me be the first to say: Welcome home.

You don’t have to earn God’s love—it’s already yours.

But faith isn’t meant to be a solo mission. So here’s what I’d love you to do:

  • Tell someone. (If you don’t know who to tell—tell me.)
  • Get connected. Find a healthy, Jesus-loving community. Not perfect people… real ones.
  • Start talking to God. Prayer isn’t fancy words—it’s real conversation.
  • Get a Bible you can actually read. (If you need help, hit me up.)
  • Don’t give up when it gets hard. This isn’t the easy path. It’s the real one. And Jesus walks it with you.

Need to Talk?

If something is stirring in your heart right now and you just need someone to talk to—no pressure, no judgment—reach out. I’m here.

You’re seen.
You’re loved.
You’re not alone.
